01 Jul 2005 - Farfield Honoured for Product Innovation at Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2005

At the MX2005 Awards Dinner, held at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Wednesday 29th Jun 2005 and hosted by William Hague MP, Farfield was singled out as "worthy of special commendation" in the Renishaw Award for Product Innovation for its novel method of measuring molecular structures and nanoparticles. Mr Hague was quoted as saying "Farfield is a company that is really going places".
Farfield was selected as a MX2005 finalist in the Renishaw Award for Product Innovation after successfully passing a rigorous self-assessment audit and an independent assessors' visit, and presenting the company to the MX2005 judging panel at the IMechE headquarters in London. This was an intensive benchmarking exercise for all 118 companies that entered, and Farfield was one of only 17 entrants selected for the finals, in the company of other top names such as AstraZeneca, Rolls Royce and Siemens.
Dr Simon Carrington, Farfield's Sales & Marketing Manager, who attended the awards dinner, said "It was a massive honour and achievement for Farfield to be selected as a finalist for MX2005. On top of this, we were absolutely delighted to be awarded special commendation for product innovation. This award again illustrates that Farfield is the most innovative and responsive company at the leading edge of excellence in analytical measurement for the emerging molecular sciences and nanotechnology".
