Farfield - illuminating the molecular world...

Farfield's Philosophy of Measurement

Farfield's approach to quantitative, high-resolution tools for the study of molecular structure has been acclaimed worldwide. It is based on a rigorous understanding and independent verification of the underlying physics. Our belief is that our measurements should be traceable to national and international standards so that they can be deployed in confidence and compared with other methods.

Software automatically resolves the optical signature of the molecules into the quantitative units of molecular size, density and mass without requiring a detailed knowledge of the underlying physics as verified by others. All data is recorded in both raw and processed form, for those wishing to gain access to the measurements at their most fundamental level. Our growing worldwide community of users have shared their experiences to help to drive the continued development of our analytical capability. This has resulted in the latest developments for measuring crystal growth and lipid bilayer and membrane protein interactions.

We hope you share our vision to deliver greater insights into molecular function through measurement of their structural behaviour, truly 'illuminating the molecular world...'
